June was a pretty decent month, wasn’t it?

As for the weather I must admit it has been too hot for me, too stuffy. Even though I caught a cold but there has also been the World Cup for our global viewing pleasure and the rest of the month went nicely as well. How did it go for you?

I even got another Miss product for you, which might turn out to not even be one on closer inspection…but read for yourself further down:

Hits

Just like in May I mainly resorted to the (1) Make Up Revolution: Iconic 3 palette in June as well, since it is just so easy to use and the hot weather didn’t get my “intense eye look mojo” flowing, not one bit. Rosy-neutral it was, most of the time. I have blogged about the palette twice, with detailed pictures and swatches and everything! Really nice and understandably popular wih beauty lovers, I fell in love with the (2) Ardell Demi Wispies as well. They just look oh-so-natural, while thickening your natural lashes nicely and adding that sexy cat-eyed flare at the outer corner. Each and every make up looks more glamorous in an instant; I have used them in my orange Summer make up for example.

The two nail varnishes shown here are both fairly new to my collection: Firstly, there is (4) Barry M. Gelly Paint in Green Berry – a slightly greener mint, and secondly the otherworldly beautiful, yet slightly wintery (3) OPI Russian Navy, which I have shared before. I do love the Barry M. Gelly Paints, their application is just so smooth and I do have collected a few of them by now, of which I can mostly recommend without hesitation. Would you be interested in a swatch post of these?

I have written about the (5) Honey Bronzer by The Body Shop already as well – been using it all throughout June and even some time in May and you can still see the honeycomb pattern quite distinctively, simply love it! You can hardly apply too much, it just looks natural. The (6) L’Oréal True Match Foundation is new in my collection as well and I have been testing it out almost all June. My shade, N1, does not seem to be sold on the continent (surprise!) but I just couldn’t resist getting it at Tesco for a mere £6.99 (it costs 18.95€ in Austria btw, named “Perfect Match” as well, since us German speakers would only get confused with the “True” there.) A new Foundation Friday seems to be coming your way soon 🙂

Lip product wise there obviously was the gorgeous (7) Artdeco Miami Collection Glossy Exotic and two new “tinted balms”, which I will blog about later on: There’s the beautiful (8) Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm Red Dhalia on the one hand, fairly pigmented for a lip balm!, and on the other hand the (9) LIERAC HYDRA-CHRONO+ LIPPEN, which intensifies its colour on the lips regarding your pH. Both I received at the Beautypress Event end of May.

Concerning skincare items, my number one favourite obviously was (1) The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil I am quite enjoying it on the long run still. I have also reported on the lovely (4) Peeling mask by Ringana – the natural ingredients paired with the great exfoliation removing that nasty flaky skin made it a favourite righte away.

During my first two days of the cold from hell the (2) Avène Eau Thermale proved to be a real life saver – right from the fridge it made my stuffy nose much more bearable in the heat! If you can still recall my Instagram pic about that “good hair day” you will now learn what mystery product I used 😉 It was the (3) Schwarzkopf essence ULTÎME Balm Omega Repair BB Beauty Balm (that’s a mouthful!) which my hair seems to like a lot. I have been using it on wet hair, making my curls shiny and quite distinct. I still cannot vouch for this product being the thing producing the nice hair, but it is indeed my most important suspect!

Simply because I actually remembered this time, some of my favourite gourmet-moments of the month:

Extra crispy Mozzarella sticks, this is how I love them!

Red Velvet cake

Wonderful Veggie Burger

My only fail product of the months I am showing you half sad, to be honest. The tea tree cleanser by Superdrug just smells so incredibly good. Refreshing and slightly sweet, very much grapefruit-like…but – isn’t there always a but? – I just had the feeling that it broke me out. Which is quite contrary to its claims. Just as with the hair bb cream I cannot be 100% sure this was the product that caused it but since I stopped using it on the face I did not get any more of those nervous reddish impurities. It might just be too acidy-aggressive for my skin. As for now, I am using it as a shaving gel to enjoy the lovely scent, and it works perfectly fine, a little goes a long way, it even foams up nicely.

And that is it alreay, my June Hits & Misses – I have this feeling I keep showing you the same-ish products every month, I hope you are not bored with me yet! Did you experience any fail products in June?
