It has been a while now, more than two months ahem, that I had the pleasure to network with many other bloggers and brands at the Beautypress day.
One of the few brands present that had colour cosmetics to show was lavera. I have known the brand for years but always postponed to try it out. With these samples I finally got the chance to test it:
Next to these decorative cosmetics products (Sweet Bramble! After swatching it at the event I just HAD to have it…) lavera obviously has many skincare products available as well.
I especially love the scent of the exfoliating body wash Lime Sensation (£3.59) – I adore all things fresh-lemony, way more than anything sweet. That exfoliater just smells gorgeous, the scent doesn’t seem too fake. Since the Microplastic-List makes it very easy to check on these environmental harmful ingredients. I almost feared to find it on there, but the ingredients suggest otherwise. Even though it contains pleasant exfoliating particles!
Finally been tested as well: The Apple Shampoo (£3.15). Personally, I love shampoo/conditioners in tubes, you just can squeeze it out way easier. Lavera seems to be spot on regarding natural scents, you definitely make out the apple without it smelling too chemically. Concerning its cleansing qualities I am content. My scalp feels clean, the hair not too stripped. I have read online that it has a new formula but I cannot complain.
The third hair care product I tried is the Hair Repair and Care Hair Serum (£6.95) and I am still (!) uncertain how I like it. More than once I have written about my curly hair and how it’s rather easy to manage – if there is frizz, let there be frizz. I like the idea of the product but applying it it feels like a very alcoholy hair gel. Not sticky just odd. My hair looks okay the next day, even though I feel my ends feel slightly dier than usual. I don’t want to recommend it for now.
It is not actually a skincare but really interesting to me: The Eyeshadow Base (3,95€) is surprisingly liquid but also surprisingly good. A tiny drop is enough for a longlasting result since the base dries a bit sticky – perfect for crumbly eyeshadows or pigments. It does not work too well for cream eyeshadows though.
Lipsticks
Just how beautiful are these lipsticks? Usually, thinking about “natural cosmetics” bland colours come to mind, but the Beautiful Lips Colour Intense Sweet Bramble (8,95€) especially is just genius. You can sheer it out as well but the colour is just amazing.
Next to the usual lipsticks in Beautiful Lips Rosewood Dream (8,95€) and Deep Red (8,43€) I chose a matte texture as well. Beautiful Lips Colour Intense Matt’n Peach (8,95€) has a really enjoyable texture but might just be a tad too orange for me.
Sweet Bramble and Rosewood Dream definitely are my favourites, the latter being a nice Antique Pink-go-to colour. All of the shades last well, especially when blotted. Texturewise I find them all smoother and easier to apply than the alverde lipsticks.
Blush
I feel almost every blogger chose to try the So Fresh Mineral Rouge Powder in Plum Blossom (7,95€). The texture is incredibly smooth with a very fine shimmer to make them cheeks look naturally glowy. The shade is rather cool, probably more suitable for cooler months. I do like how you can not look overblushed with this one.
The Lips & Cheeks in Fancy Melon (5,95€) is surprisingly great. sort of cream-to-powder which I like to use on the lips. Yes really. It does not dry out my lips but leaves them mattified with a natural rose-peach flush which I love in Summer. Very uncomplicated, non sticky, kissprove. Most likely a monthly favourite here 🙂
My recommendations: Body Wash in Lime Sensation, the eyeshadow base, the intense lipstick in Sweet Bramble and the lips & cheeks product. The hair serum I surprisingly would not recommend so far.
In Germany lavera is readily available at dm, Müller and amazon, in Austria you will also find it in Bipa, in the UK most products are available online and at Holland & Barrett, respectively amazon.

Es ist nun schon einige Zeit, hust mehr als zwei Monate hust, her, dass ich mit vielen anderen Bloggerinnen beim Beautypress Tag regen Austausch betreiben konnte.
Eine der wenigen anwesenden Marken mit Deko-Kosmetik war also lavera. Mir als Marke schon lange ein Begriff, seltsamerweise aber immer ein Ausprobieren verschoben. Durch die Testprodukte habe ich das jetzt endlich nachgeholt:
Neben den Deko-Produkten (Sweet Bramble! Nach dem Swatch auf dem Event MUSSTE ich diesen Lippenstift haben…), verfügt lavera natürlich ebenfalls über unzählige Pflegeprodukte.
Besonders das Dusch-Peeling Lime Sensation (6,99€) hatte es mir geruchstechnisch angetan – ich mag alles frisch-zitronige besonders gern, viel lieber als zu Süßes. Dieses Peeling trifft meinen Geruch 100%, nicht künstlich sondern einfach limonig. Seit die Mikroplastik-Liste ein Kontrollieren soviel einfacher macht, hatte ich schon fast befürchtet, in den Inhaltsstoffen etwas davon zu finden, aber nein, nach meinem Nachlesen ist kein Mikroplastik enthalten, obwohl das Peeling sehr angenehme Partikel enthält!
Außerdem konnte ich endlich das Apfel-Shampoo (7,90€) ausprobieren: Ich finde Shampoo/Spülungen in Tuben immer super praktisch, da sie sich einfach besser drücken lassen. Lavera hat das mit den recht natürlichen Düften ziemlich gut raus, ich hatte erst bedenken aber der Apfel ist eindeutig da, ohne zu sauer oder zu süß zu riechen. Die Reinigungswirkung gefällt mir gut, die Haare sind nicht strapaziert aber die Kopfhaut fühlt sich gut an. Obwohl ich online gelesen habe, dass das Shampoo neu formuliert wurde und die Vorgängerversion durchwegs als besser beschrieben wird, kann ich mich nicht beschweren.
Bei dem dritten Pflegeprodukt, dem Repair Pflege Haarspitzenfluid (6,90€), bin ich immer noch (!) unschlüssig. Wie ich schon oft beschrieben habe, sind meine Haare sehr lockig und dabei ziemlich unkompliziert. Wenn da mal Frizz ist, dann ist das eben so usw. Das Konzept dieses Produktes wäre sehr gut, wenn ich nicht beim Einkneten in die Spitzen/Längen das Gefühl hätte, als wäre es austrocknend. Es fühlt sich für mich wie ein alkoholhaltiges, quietschiges Haargel an. Nicht klebrig, aber…seltsam. Meine Haare sehen am nächsten Tag zwar gut aus, die Spitzen teilweise aber irgendwie fransiger als sie eigentlich sind. Ich bin unschlüssig, eine volle Empfehlung gebe ich nicht!
Zwar keine richtige Pflege aber für mich sehr interessant war die Eyeshadow Base (3,95€). Ich war sehr überrascht, wie dünnflüssig diese Base ist – und hatte schon Horror-Visionen von Schmelzen ohne Ende. Aber! Diese Base ist super: Ein Mini-Tropfen reicht für ein Lid, rasch verblenden und abwarten bis es schön klebrig wird. Ja, in der Tat, die Base wird “sticky” und ist etwa für bröselige Lidschatten oder Pigmente ideal, hält bei mir sowohl Schwitzen als auch Regengüsse aus. Mit Cremelidschatten funktioniert sie aber nicht so gut, da kann’s schlierig werden.
Lipsticks
Wie toll sehen diese Lippenstifte aus? Bei Naturkosmetik denkt man schnell an etwas öde Farben aber besonders Beautiful Lips Colour Intense Sweet Bramble (8,95€) ist einfach genial. Kann aber auch sheer aufgetragen werden, eine Kracherfarbe.
Neben den Standard-Lippenstiften in Beautiful Lips Rosewood Dream (8,95€) und Deep Red (8,43€) habe ich mir noch eine matte Farbe ausgesucht. Beautiful Lips Colour Intense Matt’n Peach (8,95€) ist von der Textur her sehr angenehm, eher Satin als flat-matte, aber farblich wohl etwas zu orange-stichig für mich.
Neben Sweet Bramble gefällt mir Rosewood Dream am besten, eine sehr einfach “Altrosa” Farbe für den Alltag. Insgesamt halten alle der Lippenstifte sehr gut, der matte natürlich am besten, aber auch Rosewood Dream verbleibt geblottet sehr lange auf den Lippen. In der Textur finde ich sie alle gleitender, weniger wächsern als die alverde Naturkosmetik Lippenprodukte.
Blush
Ich habe das Gefühl, bei den Blushes hat sich fast jede Bloggerin das So Fresh Mineral Rouge Powder in Plum Blossom (7,95€) ausgesucht. Die Textur ist super fein, man sieht nur einen hauchzarten Schimmer durchscheinen, was die Wangen sehr natürlich “glowy” aussehen lässt. Die Farbe ist kühl und vielleicht eher im Winter aktuell, mir gefällt, dass man kaum overblushed aussehen kann.
Überraschend richtig toll finde ich das Lips & Cheeks in Fancy Melon (5,95€). Eine fast cream-to-powder ähnliche Textur, die ich besonders gerne auf den Lippen verwende. Ja, wirklich. Es trocknet meine Lippen nicht aus, wird aber ziemlich matt und gibt diesen natürlichen rosé-peach Ton, der mir gerade jetzt im Sommer gut gefällt. Eine sehr unkompliziert, nicht klebrige, kussechte Lippenfarbe. Höchstwahrscheinlich ein Monatsfavorit im August 🙂
Meine absoluten Empfehlungen sind das Dusch Peeling in Lime Sensation, die Eyeshadow Base, der Intense Lipstick in Sweet Bramble und das Lips & Cheeks Produkt in Fancy Melon. Überraschend würde ich jetzt gerade das Haarspitzenfluid nicht empfehlen.
In Deutschland gibt es lavera bei dm, Müller und amazon, in Österreich auch bei Bipa, in UK online und etwa bei Holland & Barrett oder ebenfalls amazon.
