The latest addition to Sleeks i-divines Limited Editions comes in smokey and quite autumnal shades. After the very vibrant Del Mar, a definite “summer palette”, Arabian Nights appears to be a perfect smokey eyeshadow palette with “nude” possibilities.

You can definitely graps the palette’s themes at first glance: Dark, smokey, mixed with jewel tones. In contrast to Del Mar there is only one completely matte colour, but a matte with glitter and as a new thing: A satin black shadow.

On closer inspection, the palette’s shades appeared to be similar to already existing palettes: On the one hand, there’s obviously the gorgeous Vintage Romance in its smokey-purple hues, and on the other hand the oldie but goodie Storm with lots of shimmery earth shades. Well, it’s a nice coincidence that both of those are among my favourites…now, how will their lovechild pan out?

The palette starts off with a quite neutral side: Sheherazade’s Tale is a faint rosegold, smooth and pigmented swatched. Gold Souk appears to be a light true gold, shows quite a few glitter particles in the swatch. Which can lead to fallout, tapping off the excess recommended. Aladdin’s Lamp is a pretty, cool taupe, great as a lid as well as crease shadow.

Genie in the second row is visibly warmer but shows some glitter swatched as well. Tapping it off it works beautifully though. Black Magic is the first non-neutral in the first half, a greyed midnight blue. A perfect smokey shade, an alternative to the usual brown/black. Stallion is – as per usual – totally to my taste, a very dark plum, matte.

Sultan’s Garden appears to be quite special: A faint light green with green shimmer particles and an actually quite smokey base. Quite interesting, especially on top of various cream eyeshadows! Hocus Pocus, an emerald green with substantial shimmer. The most vibrant, bright shadow of all twelve is Simbad’s Sea. A strong saphire blue with purple undertones lingering to make it even brighter.

The first colour in the second row, Sorcerer, admittedly looks way more interesting in the pan than in the swatch. A blue-purple-grey mixture, as it seems, is more of an “interesting” grey with satin shimmer in the swatch. Out of all the colours possibly the weakest. Valley of Diamonds is, the name gives it away, a matte base with golden glitter. On the skin the glitter does not transfer as harsh as it looks in the pan but doesn’t produce fallout either. Very interesting to me, a collector of Sleek palettes, is the choice of satin finish black: 1001 Nights is lovely and pigmented and a completely new choice for Sleek if I am not mistaken.

I have posted the following make up on Instagram a few days ago which you appeared to like a lot :). I guess I am lucky that I took pictures heh.

The quality is as expected nice – one of the shadows requires more attention when applied, the rest just is the usual good pigmentation, easily blendable. Even though I created a fairly dark, smokey look, the Arabian Nights can do fairly neutral as well.

And at last another picture with the cardboard packaging – just gorgeous!

If you are interested now, I suggtest snatching it up before it sells out, for example at Shades of Pink or amazon for about 10€ or Boots, Superdrug for about £8.

As per usual my collection overview can be found in the menu Sleek Swatches! Bird’s eye view swatches will be soon in the first linked post as well.

Well, all fired up now? Rio Rio or Arabian Nights, that is the question? The very smokey Make Up I will post tomorrow. 🙂

Das sehr rauchiges Make Up wird morgen gepostet 🙂

Die Palette wurde mir freundlicherweise
von Shades of Pink zur Verfügung gestellt.
