New In #18: More of what I definitely need.

Well I think, the title speaks for itself!

I do need all of that.

No, of course not. Not in a desperate survival kind of sense. Duh. But I think I don’t have to get into philosophical questions when we all know we, me, you and you, are here in this very moment because we take an interest in the vanities of life?

Exactly. And that is why I need all of it 🙂

In the department of colour cosmetics it definitely looks more than it is. (I might be writing that every time I post new in things, or maybe I am in fact only thinking that every single time…)

First of all I obviously need to talk about the great realTechniques Nic’s Picks Set which Shades of Pink sent me for reviewing purposes – out of the 5 brushes 3 are set exclusive and two of the brushes even already made it into my last monthly favourites. I think I need to write about them in more details with more pictures, some are really quite interesting.

Since I have a soft spot for OPI (or so it seems, cough, cough, should blog about my collections some time), I couldn’t pass on this beauty in TkMaxx. After googling swatches of OPI Ski Slope Sweetie it appears to be a perfect sparkle for the cooler season (it is a leftover from last year’s limited edition even). And since I am always on the lookout for the most perfect autumnal burgundy-berry I got the Artdeco Majestic Beauty Couture Mahogany. It appears slightly more red on the nails than in the bottle and I must admit I would like it even better with a more berry undertone. Speaking of Artdeco Nails: There are new nailcare procducts available, like the Moisture Nail Lacquer and the Moisture Nail Gel, so this possibly might help my nail chipping problem? I’ll keep you posted.

And yes, you see that right – I gathered up three new foundations. Three!

The Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hour Foundation swatched so nicely when I first saw the display, I got it on offer. This time in the second to lightest shade, since the lightest in Rimmel foundations always seems to come with a pink undertone (just like the lovely Match Perfect in Light Porcelain, we shall see how the mix). Just a couple of days later I got to swatch the Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation in the lightest colour. An almost perfect match so far! Also, I got the Artdeco Mineral Fluid Foundation which I have been wanting to try for ages. Undertone possibly slightly too pink, shade itself is quite pale. Foundation Friday calling! 🙂

Recently, I also got two products by Mememe – the Mememe Light up Gloss is nice and gimmicky, rather nonsticky and has a nice golden sparkle, but you know me, barely any lipgloss can really tempt me. The  Mememe Eye Inspire Quad Eye Palette in Smouldering Eyes, however, is a different story. The eyeshadows are nicely pigmented, especially when used wet as recommended. I need to try that soon.

The Artdeco Lash Grow Activator surprised me in a positive way so far! Yes, I am also quite sceptical regarding lash serums etc. However, using it for the past two or three weeks, I have noticed my lashes getting slightly longer. Maybe in my imagination? My lashes usually are shorter on the outer corner (argh) and I have noticed those being a bit longer now. I will keep on using it for a few more weeks…We’ll also see the Sleek MakeUp Lethal Length Mascara again, obviously, that’s what Mascara Monday is for eh.

Last but not least the product I needed about as much as a rash in the face: An eyeshadow palette (#facepalm). But well the  I ♥ Make Up Death by Chocolate is just really pretty in a well executed design. And a great dupe as well. Including the faint choco smell even…We will also be seeing this one again I believe.

So, as soon as it gets cooler outside (mind you, I still enjoy my bedroom window tilted at least) I really like warming up the feet side of my bed with a nice hot water bottle, this one I picked up recently at Primark.

Perfect for a night in I also have here the new Artdeco Hyaluronic Intensive Mask with Ginko which provides quite some moisturising – I am keeping my fingers crossed for longterm effects during winter!

And of course the most exciting of it all is my new Braun Oral-B PRO 7000 – I can’t even tell you how much I enjoy it! It just cleans so well, my teeth feel way smoother than with a manual brush ♥

Lastly, as part of our Sleek Week Shades of Pink put in one of the Ponyhütchen Cremedeodorants for us to test – it’s my first cream deodorant and I am absolutely infatuated with the smell, just fresh and nice. Regarding the actual effect I would say it lasts well on an average day, in very stressful situations I just keep relying on my Borotalco. But I am looking forward to test it some more.

So, and now: What sparked your interest? Which foundation do you want to see first in the next Foundation Friday? Would you like to read a review about the toothbrush? And do you have the original Too Faced palette or does the dupe tickle your fancy? Keep me posted in the comments! 🙂
